When going this route, you are essentially selling people on the idea of investing in your business – and, without providing them with all of the information that they need, along with an incentive to do so, the results will likely be less than anticipated. The Kickstarter site has a lot of good info on it that can help you to prepare a campaign. And definitely looking at past successful projects is a must.
