Social media is a key tool to use for you new business. Not only is it free but you have access to an audience that might be interested in your product or service. There are many advantages to Social Media.

  1. With social media you have the opportunity to reach more people with your brand, story and message. It’s a great way to connect with people that might live miles away from you without ever meeting you in person. So, location is never an issue with reaching your market.
  2. Also, following up with past customers and leads are a lot easier. Especially if you use email marketing. You can always remind them of what products or services you offer. You can also let them know of new updates, promotions or new products/services that are being released. With this your average order value and life time customer value can increase dramatically.
  3. Finally another advantage is that everything can be measured which is VERY helpful. There’s a saying if you can’t measure it then you can’t improve it. Let the numbers decide what direction you take your business. This is a rule that all the top companies follow.

Just remember that social media is a tool just like anything else. Be consistent with it and don’t fall into the trap of consuming content more than you are creating.
